Baby Shower Express #021: Pumpkin Shower Galore

Hi,

Halloween is just around the corner so it's not surprising that for this Baby Shower Express issue, it's all about planning a baby shower for Halloween!

But before we give you our Halloween shower ideas, we are happy to announce that you can now create your very own baby site all for FREE. Yes, you read that right, creating a baby site is free and is just a few clicks away. A baby site is perfect, since it is a cool way to announce your baby's arrival and to share news and tidbits about your little angel to your friends and relatives. You can think about it, but when you're ready to create your very own site, you can start here.

Now back to Halloween. Orange and black are the perfect hues for your Halloween shower and since this is a baby shower, we're going for the cute side of Halloween instead of the gory stuff. This means that babies in their cute Halloween costumes - dress as a cute Dracula, as a pretty witch, riding a broomstick, and the like, are the stuff you want. A clothesline of candies will also be a great addition and so is Casper, a giant cauldron and some cobwebs in the right places.

Pumpkin is pretty popular on Halloween parties and it is also as important in Halloween showers. To start of, you can use a number of pumpkin husks as a shooting target on one of your shower activities. Your "ball" for this game is of course small baby articles like pacifiers and rolled up baby socks.

Another activity idea is the Halloween rendition of the popular game Musical Chairs. However, instead of chairs, what you will have is two baby bottles full of pumpkin juice. Similar to the original game, when the music stops, whoever has the baby bottles will need to finish the content fast. Not drinking fast enough will mean game over so your guests will have their guzzling ability and love for pumpkin juice sorely tested.

Of course pumpkin is also popular in your shower menu. If your love for pumpkin is not as much as one would like, no worries, since you can also serve other dishes which comes in the right color, and they will still be perfect additions to your Halloween shower. Orange and black are the right color elements so this means dishes like orange chicken and squid ink pasta are in. If you want to go beyond these, other popular fare served during Halloween and Thanksgiving will also work well on your Halloween shower menu.
