Easter Baby Shower

Having a shower this Easter season? Then we have tons of creative invitation ideas for you!

You can transform your typical baby feeding bottle into the perfect invitation for your Easter-themed shower. Just decorate the “body” with orange paper, add some green material on the “head” part and voila you have a carrot invitation right there. If you decide to go for a bunny invitation instead, then it's just a matter of adding bunny ears instead of carrot-related materials. Whether you go for one idea or the other, you can complete your creative invitation by placing a rolled up paper containing your shower details inside before you finalize your bottle decor.

If you think the previous idea will take a lot of work, then making your invitation out of plastic and colorful eggs (yes, we mean those plastic eggs that you can open and place something inside) should be a great alternative. Just place any small item that you associate with babies – safety pin, diaper clip, pacifier, and so on, plus your rolled up paper with your shower details, and you have an instant creative invitation right there.

If you’re looking for a way simpler yet still theme-based invitation, then getting a small rabbit stuff toy and making it your invitation will be your cup of tea. Just hang your shower details around its neck like a necklace and your invitations are ready to be mailed to your friends and relatives. Talk about a sweat-free and creative Easter shower invitation!

Inside These Eggs (Individual Activity)

You will need a number of plastic egg containers for this game.

This is actually a memory game, customized for an Easter baby shower. Aside from those plastic egg containers, you will need at least 20 small baby articles that will be contained inside each egg. Each egg is numbered for easier game implementation.

Your guests' goal is to list down the corresponding baby article per egg. To make it more challenging, we suggest that you introduce your guests randomly to each egg, and just give them a peek per baby item. Do this one person at a time, until all your guests had their turn to look inside the eggs. Give them time to list down their answers, check their papers, and the person with the most number of correct answers, wins the game!

No idea what baby articles to include? We think that a safety pin, diaper clip, cotton balls, cotton buds, pacifier, baby nail cutter, and small toys are just a few examples.

Easter Hunt (Group Activity)

Since this is a baby shower treasure hunt, treasures here will definitely be related to babies. This treasure hunt will be quite interesting because clues of what the item is and where they could look for it, will be given to each of the participant.

Start by dividing your guests into groups of at least 5. Ask one representative per group to pick out their color. The color assigned to them will define which of the clues should they locate. And since this is an Easter treasure hunt as well, then you should definitely use Easter colors ,which include red, white, green, purple, yellow, black, orange and pink.

Hidden in the game area are the items that come in each group’s color. Even the clues are color-coded. The clues and items with their color should be the only thing each group will be interested in.

Only the initial clue will be directly provided to each group. The rest they have to locate, so that finally, they could find all the hidden items that comes in their group's color. The group that could locate the most number of items within the time limit, wins the game. If all groups were able to finish on time, the one who was able to do so within the shortest time, wins the prize.

  1. Clues could be description of the item  (eg. Pacifier - Babies suck them) or about where it is located (eg. Bathroom – This is the mother-to-be’s favourite area to relax).

  2. Each group should be hunting for similar treasures. However, the location of where these treasures are hidden, and the order of how treasures are hunted, could be different between each group.

  3. There should be connections between each clue and succeeding clues.

  4. The unearthing of hidden treasures should follow the order assigned to the group. If Group 1 found Treasure 3, before they found Treasure 2, when their order states that Treasure 2 should come before Treasure 3, Treasure 3 will not be counted as their find, unless they find Treasure 2 as well.

Easter Tummy (Group Activity)

This is one activity that will really bring everybody up close and personal, especially with mother-to-be. Belly casting kits are available on many online stores, so getting one should not be a problem. Mom-to-be could choose to do the belly casting before the party (with dad-to-be of course), and just bring the belly cast out for this activity.

The idea of this activity is for everybody to decorate mom-to-be's belly cast. You and mom-to-be could decide a theme of the design before the party, or just decide one with your guests during the shower. And since this is an Easter shower activity, make sure you have the different Easter colors ready for use!

No winner and prizes, except for the memories and fun experience with mother-to-be!

A Little Prayer (Individual Activity)

We got this idea from a reader of our sister site and we think this is a proper activity for a baby shower celebrated during Easter season.

When you send your invitation, ask each of mommy's friends to write a little prayer for either the soon to be parents or the new baby. You also need lots of balloons in Easter colors since you will need them for this activity. The number depends on how many guests are expected.

The idea is to tie everyone's lil prayer on a balloon and send all "prayers" to the Heavens. Whether you send each prayer one at a time or send them all together, it will be quite amazing to see all those balloons fly up and up and up.

We'll leave it to you if you prefer to have each friend read his/her prayer to mom-to-be first. But either way, this will be a very solemn and touching activity and is definitely worth adding on any Easter-themed shower.
