If you want to go beyond traditional invitations, your invitation can be a pair of cute baby-related items. You can make this a pair of rubber duckies, a pair of pacifiers, and so on. You can complete your invitation by attaching a paper containing your party details around your rubber duckies or attached on the pacifier's handle. That was not so hard, right?

Another approach is to send some baby items that won't be complete without its pair. This can be a pair of baby socks, mittens, shoes, and the like. And your invitation details will be contained in a rolled up paper, which you can insert inside.

And of course since we're advocates of sending invitations that can also double up as gifts, we think that a pair of cookies will be a great gift ala invitation. Be sure to decorate each with something related to babies, put them in a bag, attach your party details and voila, you're all set to send your gift and invitation!

Sock Race (Group Activity)

Nope, this is not a baby shower version of the popular game sack race. However, this is still a race, a race to match the most number of socks, in the shortest amount of time!

The number of baby socks needed depends on the number of groups. The idea is to mix the socks with other type of clothings. The goal of each group is to find and match the socks in the shortest amount of time! The group who was able to seek and match the fastest, wins the game!

Each group should work with the same number socks. It is recommended that guests will be instructed to bring at least a pair, so there's no need to buy that much socks just for this game.

Tip: Since this is a couple shower activity, each group should be composed of couples (or number per group should be divisible by two). Same goes for the other group games.

By Twos Treasure Hunt (By Pair)

This will work as a typical treasure hunt, except for the fact that it will be done by a pair of treasure hunters who will be tied together (we'll leave it to you whether to just tie their feet or if you want them tied on the waist and have them back-to-back).

The items that need to be hunted here should be related to the mom to be, baby shower or having a baby. The pair who cooperated with each other better and was able to hunt everything down in the shortest amount of time will be your couple of winners!

Precious Moments (Individual/Group Activity)

Now's the time to test everybody's knowledge about mother-to-be and the soon to be daddy. You could decide whether to make this a pencil and paper game or something out of a TV game show, with the buzzer all. However, it is important to identify special events which happened to mother/father-to-be, to be guessed by their friends. This should be a fun memory lane activity, that will remind some of your guests about a special time or two with mother/father-to-be, or a fountain of information for other guests who were not lucky enough to be part of the experience.

The person or the group with the most number of correct answers to your trivia questions, will be declared ULTIMATE friend(s) of mom/dad-to-be!

Playing with Candies (Group Activity)

You need tons of chopsticks, candies, and small paper plates.

The goal of each group is to transfer as much candy (with a pair of chopsticks) from one end of the room to the other. This will play like a typical relay race, wherein the first person performs the given task, then it's the next person's turn and so on.

The group who was able to transfer the most number of candy in the shortest amount of time will win this game.
