Start your baby shower tea party by sending out a tea bag invitation. A tea bag invitation is just your invitation folded in tea bag fashion (could also be written in tea bags, you should be able to buy some in your craft store). You might want to check out some of your actual tea bags to know how to do so. Don't forget to attach a string to your "tea bag" to make it as realistic as possible.

Not enough pizzazz for your taste ? Adding a rubber ducky in the picture might give the necessary zing that you're looking for! Use a string to form a "necklace" of some sort, so that you could hang it around the rubber ducky. Voila, you now have a more creative rendition of your tea bag invitation!

If you want a more babyish invitation, then we suggest that you draw a tea pot set in a paper bib or a real bib (using some of those glittered glue should do it). Creative and babyish, that is what this invitation idea is all about.

Of course, you could always bake some cookies, that will double up as your invitation. That is indeed an idea that we recommend a lot. If you decided to go with small cookies, just place 5-10 of your favorite cookies in a bag, with a note tied to its neck. The note will indicate the invitation details, from the dress code, to the place where you will hold your all about tea party. If you think you're better off with a giant cookie, then you could just icing the invitation details on top of it, which should do the trick, and at the same time, will have your guests look forward to a big chunk of yumminess.

Make your tea shower a semi-formal affair, so don't forget to inform your guests about this tidbit, so your tea party would go the way you planned it to be!

Wanted: Tea Expert (Individual/Group Activity)

You will need to brew different kinds of tea for this activity.

The goal of this game is for your visitors to guess what type of tea were they given. Here’s the twist. Instead of drinking their tea from a cup like what any normal person will do, they need to guess what tea it is based on a drop or so from a baby’s medicine dropper. This could be played individually or by group. The group or individuals with most correct guesses, and with the shortest guess time average, wins the game!

Tip: To make the tea tasting more challenging, you could "serve" the same tea more than once. That should eliminate all lucky guessers, and isolate the real tea connoisseur.

Cookie Designer (Group Activity)

You will need to prepare a lot of cookies for this one. The number really depends on how many groups you will have, and how many cookies you want to undergo the designing stage. You also need to prepare all the necessary icing tools and of course, the icing ingredients itself.

Before the game begins, whip up the icing of your choice, and let the game start. Each group should be able to icing baby-related designs on their cookies, the more creative the better. Set a time limit, and ready, get set, go! Mom-to-be gets to judge the best cookie.

After the activity, let your guests admire and enjoy the same cookies, which will be a great addition to your tea party menu!

Tea Cup/Pot Painting (Group Activity)

Challenge your guests' creative juices with this activity. You will need tea sets, watercolors, brushes, and your guests' artistic tendencies. Their theme for this painting session is no other than babies, babies and more babies! Set a time limit, and boom, mother-to-be gets to judge the winning piece.

Tea Art (Group Activity)

This is another artistic challenge, and we know your guests will be up to it! You will need a lot of tea leaves (you could just buy a lot of tea bags to have more leaves). You will also need some white cardboards or something similar, which will serve as your guests' canvass, some glue, the plain ones and those which come in colours, and other stuff that you want to appear in the final product. This will be a very interesting experience indeed!

The challenge is this: your guests need to paint/decorate their "canvass" by using a lot of tea leaves. If your guests cannot imagine what you're talking about, then tell them that if they want to "paint" a baby, they have the choice of creating a baby out of tea leaves, meaning there will be a baby shape composed of tea leaves right there in their canvass. Another option is to decorate the entire canvass with tea leaves, and leave the baby shape bare. Now isn't that interesting or what? And did we forget to mention that the topic should be anything related to baby or mom-to-be? And of course, she (meaning mom-to-be) will also be the esteemed judge of the best group of tea artists.
