Baby Shower Theme Pooh

Winnie the Pooh is one popular bear, and the number of available Pooh shower supplies is a proof of this. No worries, we already sorted through dozens of Pooh supplies, and came up with this trimmed down list:

Invitations

Send a cardboard cut-out shaped like Pooh's hunny jar, and place the label Baby and Hunny on it. Or you could improve this by cutting out a baby standing inside Pooh's hunny jar instead. The latter means more work for you, but really make a lot of difference on its creativity rating.

Or, you could invite your guests by sending them a baby bottle, decorated like Rabbit's carrot. In your invitation letter, you could place some phrases like "It's raining hunnies and babies!". Your letter could either be placed inside the feeding bottle, or contained in the orange wrapper that transformed your feeding bottle into a carrot. Either way, you will have a creative pooh invitation that will tempt your guests to RSVP!

If that's too much work for you, you could still use the same idea (baby bottle), without the carrot decoration this time. All you need to do is to find some honey-colored paper, crumple it, place it inside the baby bottle (to make it appear like honey), hang some tags on the neck of your bottle which says hunny on one side, and baby on the other side, and you're nearly done. All that remains is for you to write your invitation details, which could be contained on the note around your bottle, or written in your crumpled honey-colored paper. That's not so hard, isn't it?

Last but not the least, instruct your guests to come to the party wearing clothes that remind them of their favorite Pooh character. It could be as simple as wearing a Pooh and friends shirt, or an Eeyore outfit from top to bottom. Poohtiful, either way!

Hunny Art (Group Activity)

This is your guests chance to experience being an almost painter. Almost, because instead of typical color palettes and brushes, they will have a spoon, a tub of honey, and a white cardboard. Because that's the idea of this activity, to "paint" baby-related stuff (you need to decide on the theme) on their canvass, with the use of that spoon and honey. Just set a time limit, and let mom-to-be judge the winning piece.

Hunny and Baby (Group Activity)

You will need a lot of letter cut outs for this one. Each group should have the same set of letter cut outs. You also need to prepare strings and masking tapes.

The goal is to spell out hunny and baby and to hang the letter cut outs in clothesline fashion, within a certain amount of time. A pair of hunny and baby represents one point. The group with the most number of correctly spelled hunny and baby combinations, wins the game.

Follow the Leader (Group Activity)

Pooh and friends are very fond of this game, so it's not surprising that this should be one of the activities. Of course, our version will have a different twist.

This is actually a charade game, wherein after guessing the puzzle correctly, a representative of the group with the right answer should be able to act out the last three actions made by the pantomime before the puzzle was solved. You could make it more challenging by making it the last four actions, five, and so on. A point is only awarded to the group who was able to guess and act it out correctly.

The puzzle of course, is related to mom-to-be, having a baby, or babies. The group with the most number of points, wins a prize.

Love Balloons (Individual Activity)

Pooh absolutely love balloons, and since we also love balloon games, we can't resist recommending this as one of our Pooh shower activities.

You will need a lot of balloons for this game. But before you blow those balloons up, insert some questions related to mommy, having a baby or babies in general. The idea is for your guests to pop the balloons, answer the question correctly, and go to the next balloon. Not being able to answer a question means s/he loses her turn, and gives the next person a chance to steal. If the last person missed a question, the first player is given another chance to redeem herself.

Before the game starts, make sure that you draw up the order on how your guests will play this game.
