Chinese people are known for their shrewdness when it comes to money. We think that this makes a perfect game for an oriental shower.
Buy different baby stuff, and make sure that you keep the receipt of each. Ask your players to guess the price of each one. The person with the most number of nearest guesses, wins the prize!
Make sure you have extra items at hand, just in case you need to break a tie or two.

This is best played by teams. Prepare a list of the baby items that will be “hunted” for by your guests. Set a budget and a time limit so as to ensure that it will only take as long as you plan the game to be. Ask your guests to buy as much of the items included in the list, within the budget you set, and the time limit. Instruct them to keep their purchase receipts, since this will be important for the judging.

We have prepared some Chinese characters that are usually used for baby names, grouped by those frequently used as boy names and girl names.
Choose the characters that will be copied by your guests. Since they are going to use brush and ink instead of pen, we're pretty sure that this will be an interesting experience for them!
Ask them to copy the chosen words. After they finished, the mother-to-be will judge which among the guests could be mistaken for a chinese calligraphy expert.
