Baby Shower Theme Moon and Stars

Invitations
Bake some cookies in half-moon and star shapes. You could bake small cookies, and place 5-10 pieces in a bag, tied with a ribbon, which constitutes one invitation. The invitation details will be indicated in a card that is attached to the bag.
Another way is to bake a giant cookie shaped in either moon or star, wherein all the invitation details are icingd in the face of the cookie. This will really be an interesting invitation for your guests, not to mention very tasty.
Getting small feeding bottles, and filling them up with papers shaped in both moon and stars will make another creative invitation. You don’t have to fill the bottle until its overflowing, just enough so as to “hide” a rolled up paper, which will contain the invitation details, among all those stars and moons. Please be sure to tie up a message in the neck of the bottle, saying something like “Find Me” and the like, so as to let your guests know that there is more to the bottle that what it initially seems.
In the invitation, inform your guests that they are to wear any clothes that they are most comfortable with. Pajamas are the official costume of a moony starry shower, but any comfortable clothes will do as well, since their comfort is of course, your priority!

Lullaby Charade (Individual Activity)
Moon and stars, night time, sleeping time. But for babies, sleeping is not as easy as one, two and three. They need more convincing than that, and lullabies have been known to bring them to sleep in no time (some of them, that is).
Pick out some lullabies, which will be basically the topic of this charade. Each of the guests will have her chance to act out the title or lyrics of the chosen lullaby, but most of the time, s/he will be one of the guessers.
Since we are having a lullaby charade, just naming the title of the song will not do. Instead, one has to sing it, to be awarded complete points (two points). Otherwise, guessing it correctly without singing it will just mean a single point, instead of 2.
The guest with most points, wins the prize.
DIY Bedtime Story (Group Activity)
DIY or Do It Yourself is such a common phrase nowadays, and so it’s not surprising that we are adopting it for one of our activities.
Group the guests accordingly, and give them thirty minutes (or more, they could ask for an extension) to create a bedtime story based on the baby shower theme. This means that they could create a story about moon and stars, or a story which has a night setting. Since this is an activity in a baby shower, your guests are not allowed to include gory stuff, since we don’t want to give the kids any nightmare.
Provide them pencils, pens, colors and papers, since they are required to write down their story, and include some visual aids, if applicable.
Once they’re finished, each group should have one representative to do the storytelling. The mother-to-be will serve as the judge of which group came up with the best story. If you have more prizes at hand, the best storyteller definitely deserves a prize or two!
Poke your stars (Individual Activity)
On this particular activity, we have another take on the word stars. This time, by stars, we mean Hollywood stars. However, since this is a baby shower, we are only interested on mommies and daddies off the big screen.
Search the internet for some trivia related to the stars of your choosing. The trivia should be somewhat related to their family life, pregnancy, but it could go beyond that, if ever. If you’re having a hard time picturing who’s who should be the topic of your research, Britney Spears, Jennifer Gardner, Madonna, Tom Cruise are probable candidates, just to name a few. Picking five stars should do the trick.
Each of the guests will be asked to pick out a category, on this case, the star’s name. S/he will be asked a trivia question about said star. If s/he got it right, s/he gets to poke a balloon from the tray of fortune. The tray of fortune is just a tray wherein there are numerous balloons, with the stars’ face on each (eg. Egg tray with balloons taped to each compartment). The balloon to poke should be that of the said star. The prize is indicated in a small sheet of paper inside the balloon.
If s/he does not know the answer, the question is dropped,and the next person gets to choose a category. Hence, it is important to have many reserved questions at hand.
The game should go on until all the balloons are poked away. Winners will get their prize, with the burst of each balloon.
