Baby Shower Theme Luau

Send your invitation inside a baby bottle “dressed” in a straw skirt. This will definitely make a good start to your luau.
Another creative and interesting Luau invitation is to hang it in a rubber ducky. Since this is a luau, instead of just using a plain string to hang your invitation, make sure that your "invitation" is stringed along with colourful flowers. Yes, a lei-like necklace for your rubber ducky is what we have in mind!
For their clothes, ask your guests to wear flowery, colourful and comfortable clothes that they could imagine wearing while walking by the beach. The men could opt to wear sombreros while the women could come with a flower or two tucked in their hair. The more colourful, the better!

Baby Hula Romp (Group Activity)
It’s time to take out those old hula hoops, since they’re definitely needed in this baby shower luau!
Each member of the group is required to do the hula while her song is playing. Since this is a baby shower, the song should either be a nursery rhyme or other babyish song of your choice.
Each group member will be assigned one song each. If a member fails to do a complete hula on her song, another member could "rescue" the team by doing the hula to both their songs. Rescuing could only be done by a succeeding member, hence, the trick is to have the best person to come last, just in case she needs to do a lot of rescuing.
The group who was able to complete with the least amount of rescuing, wins the game. If you need to break a tie or two, then just let the group start all over again, so as to determine who are the real hula kings and queens!
Tip: This should be a great activity to loosen ones reticence, since who could stay modest and shy, after doing a bit of hula hooping, right?
T-shirt Designer (Group Activity)
This is your guests’ chance to design their own version of a souvenir shirt, one of those shirts that they will consider buying for their friends and family when they came back from Hawaii or any other tropical countries.
But, here’s the catch. They are to design tropical souvenir shirts for babies, and within a certain time limit! The shirts will be judged according to the group’s design in relation to the theme, and the creativity and overall appearance of the finished product. Mother-to-be gets to judge who wins this activity.
You need certain number of baby t-shirts for this, which will depend on how many groups you will have. You also need to have textile paints, brushes, colored glues, and other materials that you would like to appear in your souvenir shirts.
Tip:
The number of group (and how big each group will be), is dependent on the number of materials you have, and baby t-shirts you have prepared.

Please make sure that you have at least 2 extra baby t-shirts, just in case some accidents happen in the midst of the activity.
Sand Er Dough Art (Group Activity)
One of the fun activities that could be done in the beach is creating something out of sand, or popularly known as sand art. Alas, short of bringing sand in the house and making a lot of mess, let your guests use dough instead, wherein they could create anything as long as it’s related to these themes: BABY and BEACH. Yes, give them the freedom to create anything that they consider to be related to babies and the sea, it could be just be a feeding bottle floating in the water or a baby in a surf board. The finished product will be judged by the mother-to-be, based on the group’s creativity in linking two different concepts, and how their finished product look.
Since unlike the beach wherein everything you see is sand, whatever your guests produce need not be that big, since you will definitely have a more limited amount of dough at hand.

Tiki Making Contest (Group Activity)
What is a luau without a tiki? But since this is baby shower luau, we think it is just right to ask your guests to create a tiki, using a baby feeding bottle.
Tikis could be designed to look quite blank, while some are definitely scary, so the tikis we would like to see here is more of those tikis that are neither scary, but it should still be obviously a tiki.
Again, mother-to-be is the esteemed judge of this activity.
