Invite your guests by sending them a clothesline invitation, in ducky fashion, of course. To make it simple, you could just hang letter cut outs that spell duck, or better yet, replace the "U" with a duck cut out or a duck picture (side view). The latter will really elevate your invitation to the next ducky level.

Just make sure you don't forget the invitation details, which could either go at the back of your cut outs, or hanging beside your ducky stuff.

A rubber ducky is also the perfect invitation for this shower theme. Don't you think that the rubber ducky's neck is really amazing for hanging stuff, and the perfect place to hang your invitation? We think so, that is.

Another great idea is to send a balloon invitation. Be sure to paint a baby and a duck on opposite sides of the balloon, and send the balloon unblown, if you get what we mean. That should give your friends a fun time blowing it up, if they really want to get all your party details.

Yellow is definitely the color of the day, and you should instruct your guests to wear something of that color when they attend your shower. Water-proof clothing articles are also amazing for this theme!

Bobbing for duckies (Individual Activity)

You will need a lot of very clean rubber duckies and other baby articles that will float in a tub full of water.

Since this is the ducky rendition of the popular game Bobbing for Apples, the rules of the game shouldn't be a mystery, since we're just replacing apples with ducks, which your guests still need to catch with their mouths. The other baby articles are just there to distract the players.

The person who was able to "catch" the most number of ducks the fastest, wins the game!

Duck Season: Open (Individual Activity)

You will need to catch a lot of ducks to win this game.

You will have a large tub full of water and full of swimming ducks. Using a rope, each of your guests needs to catch the most number of ducks they could, without bending over. If ever they tried and failed to catch a duck, that represents 1 attempt, and each person only have up to 3 attempts, before they lose their turn.

The person with the most number of caught ducks, wins the game. Just in case you need to break a tie or two, make sure you keep a timer handy, since that will help in determining who your official duck hunter is.

Ducky Ring Toss (Individual Activity)

This is another game wherein a tub or a basin full of water is necessary. Rubber duckies and plastic rings should also be available.

The mechanics is to toss a ring around the neck of one of the swimming duckies. The more "caught" duckies, the better chances of winning. To make the game more challenging, you could fan the water to make the duckies "swim" around the tub. Another way to make it more difficult is to widen the distance between the player and the pool. With these in place, there's no doubt that only the Master Ring Tosser will come out the winner.

Carve Me a Duck (By Twos)

You will need bread knives (dull ones) and soaps for this activity, which should be twice the number of groups you have. Each group will be given two soaps and two knives.

The idea is for each group to carve a duck from one soap, and a baby on the second soap. Both duck and baby should be good renditions, for the team to win. Mom-to-be gets to judge who will be declared Carvers Extraordinaire.
