Invitations
An ABC Clothesline! That’s what came to our minds when the idea of having an Abc shower came up. You could buy mini t-shirts, write or paste a letter of the alphabet on each, and hang these shirts in a string, similar to a typical clothesline. Or you could forget the shirts, and just directly hang ABC cut outs on a string. Talk about two creative ways of starting your ABC shower! Don’t forget to hang your invitation letter/card with your ABCs.
Another amazing way of inviting your guests is by an Alphabet in a Bottle invitation. Fill out a baby bottle with letter cut outs, and right in the middle of these letters, place a folded message that will contain your invitation details. Talk about a cute invitation!
And for our final invitation idea, if you were guessing cookies, then you indeed guessed correctly! Bake your guests alphabet cookies, either the entire alphabet, or maybe two to three sets of ABCs. Just place your cookies in a bag, and attach a note. The note will indicate the invitation details, from the dress code, to the place where your ABC Shower will take place.
Don't forget to indicate that they should wear clothes wherein words or letters make up the major design. If they have a bunch of t-shirts with sayings and such, there’s no better time to wear them than on this shower!

Alphabet Baby (Group Activity)
You definitely need a lot of alphabet cut outs for this game.
The goal of this game is for each group to create an image of a baby, out of a whole bunch of alphabet cut outs. They could choose any letter they like, as long as it’s available in their pool of letters. Each group will have their own pool of letters, wherein each pool contains the same letters as those in other group's.
The group with the most babyish alphabet baby (to be judged by mother to be, of course), with the least letter cut outs used, wins the prize. If there’s a tie, the group who was able to complete their baby the fastest, wins the game.
Spelling Contest with a Twist (Individual or Group Activity)
This game is pretty simple to play. No need to prepare anything, aside from the list of words that you want your guests to spell right and paper and pens. Make sure that your chosen words have something to do with babies or having a baby.
Here’s the twist. Each of your guests needs to spell the word by writing with their left hand (or the hand they don’t normally use for writing). The first person who got the spelling right in the shortest amount of time is awarded a point for that word. So make sure you have many baby words handy,if in case you need to break up a lot of ties.
This game could be played individually or by group. The person or group with the most number of points, wins the game
Scramble, Unscramble (Group Activity)
You will need a lot of letter cut outs and a number of long strings for this one. The number of strings and set of letter cut outs will depend on the number of groups.
The letter cut outs are initially hanging in a string, arranged randomly, and covered. The goal of the game is to arrange the letter cut outs in their alphabetical order, by just touching it, since your guests will be blindfolded. You could have your guests arrange more than one set of the alphabet, since this will definitely be more challenging.
Here's another catch. They have to do this as a team, but without squeaking a single sound.
After giving them an idea what the game is all about, give your guests at most 5 minutes to come up with their game plan, and to take their places. Be sure to blindfold them, before you even uncover their "clothesline". And let the game begin!
The group who could arrange them the fastest and most accurately, wins the game!
ABC Treasure hunt (Individual or Group Activity)
Similar to other treasure hunts, this game will require your guests to search for a particular item, and the person or group who have the most finds, wins the game.
Since this is an ABC treasure hunt, conducted in a baby shower, here’s the twist. This is a treasure hunt done one item at a time, wherein the host gets to decide which among the items will be searched for by the players. Before a hunt could begin, the host will call out a letter of the alphabet, and this should tell the participants that the item they are to look for starts with that letter, in a place that starts with that letter as well. Hence, if the host calls out the letter B, the item to be hunted could be a bottle kept in a basket. The trick here is to ensure that your location will not be mistaken as the item and vice versa. Having problem keeping up? You could make it simpler by just making the letter represent the item OR the location. Either way, we're pretty sure that you and your guests will consider this a treasure in your baby shower party!
