Baby Shower Express #012: Giddy up, giddy up!

Yeehaaaa! It's that time of the month and we're giving away exclusive cowgirl invitations.

But before anything else, we're brimming with western baby shower ideas and we need to share them fast before we burst.

Decorate the room in brown, brown and more brown. If you're having a boy and want some blue in the picture, no worries, they will still work well with the other decorations. Same goes for those expecting their own cowgirls and want some pink in the room.

A rocking horse, some pretty looking cactus, cowboy hats, boots, ropes and the like, are just some of the elements that will highlight your theme. If you can get away by recreating some of those saloon doors seen in western movies, that will be way cool!

Now to your shower games. How about some Cart Race? This game will play like a typical relay race wherein after successfully doing a particular task, then it's the next player in line's turn.

Fill up a baby stroller with some cowboy related stuff. This could include cow stuff toys, boots, etc. This is a race to reach one end of the room and back to the starting point. The catch is that the baby cart should be brimming with stuff and each player needs to make sure that everything stays in place. If they get displaced, it means delay since player need to stop and get it back inside. The team who are the safe yet fast drivers will win this game.

Serve your guests some rootbeer and ginger ale. Any BBQ'd dishes are just perfect for a cowboy shower. From ribs, hotdogs, to corn on cob, having these on your menu will make all the cowboys and girls of your group happy.
